Students who want to apply for the scholarship must meet the following qualifications:
The scholarship is available to students who are currently enrolled in a university, accredited college, or community college OR to those who have received proof of acceptance from one of these academic institutions.
A copy of an acceptance letter would be sufficient to provide proof of acceptance in a qualifying institution and should be submitted along with the student’s essay.
Additionally, the content of the essay must be 100% unique and written by the student. Plagiarized content will result in immediate and lifelong disqualification.

Applications received after the deadline will not be eligible for the scholarship. Essays will be graded on content and originality. Additionally, proper spelling and grammar will also be a significant factor in the evaluation of students’ essays, so make sure to proofread and edit carefully.
Essays are expected to adhere to the subject listed below. While we appreciate students’ creative freedom, grading will be based on the student’s ability to deliver a focused answer to the question provided.
Essays are likewise expected to be 100% original. Essays that contain material borrowed from another source without citation will be automatically disqualified.

Again, this essay must either meet or exceed the 1,000+ word requirement set by Pacific Medical Care.

To be eligible for the scholarship, every essay must contain the following:
Pacific Medical Care will receive scholarship applications for students currently enrolled in a university, accredited college, or community college.
Applications will also be accepted from high school seniors that have been accepted in one of these academic institutions. However, high school seniors must still meet the age requirement and be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
Essays that do not contain the additional qualifying documentation will be disqualified. Applicants who fall short of the scholarship qualifications will also be disqualified. Essays that deviate from the subject listed above will also be removed from consideration.
Qualifying essays will be graded on content topic, originality, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and overall quality of writing vocabulary.

After selecting a winner, Pacific Medical Care will contact the student by 6/15/2022 to notify him/her of their acceptance.
Upon acceptance, Pacific Medical Care will issue a check to the winner’s university, accredited college, or community college financial aid department in the amount of $1,000. This check will be issued no later than 30 days from the time that the student has been notified of their acceptance.
The winning applicant will be announced on this page, and each annual winner will be permanently displayed here to honor their achievement. Winners have the option of listing their full name or their initials and the city/state they reside in.
